Use a flip camera to record "The Word on the Street".
Get chalk from Bair and draw a picture for a vocab word and the word itself.
Use every word from the sign up sheet in the drawing or in the verbal description.
Groups of 3 - One person will record one will be the "interviewer", and one will be the "random person" (if it doesn't work out evenly we can have a group of 4)
Since you are recording outside you will need to be pretty close to get good audio. Frame the people talking from about the waist up.
The interviewer will set up the scene ("Hi this is Pablo from Mr. Bair's class and were here today with The Word On The Street. Today's word on the street is...") & ask the random person what they know about the word on the street. The Random person will explain the word and talk about it a bit.
Sign up for your words on the white board by the door. You must choose 1 from each category. Here are the topics. You should produce 3 separate videos. You may change roles for each video if desired (which would be preferable but not necessary). Creativity is encouraged.
When finished you will come back and cut & paste your files to my computer. (there is a folder on the desktop called "Word on the Street"
If there is time, name it "class period - topic". example "2-Chemical Change 3"
